  • Soul is a wonder, and wonderful is the knower of the soul.
  • Think all living beings as your brethren.
  • Do good to those who wrong you,and if you cannot do good to them,you should not atleast harm them.
  • All living beings love life.They have a will-to-live.They seek happiness and resist suffering .No one likes to be killed.Therefore don't destroy the life of any living being.

  • A hunter kills by a pistol or a sword. A trader swindles his customer by getting his signature on an over-invoiced document is no less a hunter.

  • The case supported by contradictory evidence is rejected by the court, similarly,if prejudices exist in any religion it can never progress.
  • Where prejudices prevails,there is no essence of Lord Mahaveer.
  • The followers of Mahaveer who carry sectarian differences by their speech should be considered underserving children.They are not the real inheritors of the greatness of Lord Mahaveer.

  • The essence of the Vedas and all scriptures has been taken by the yogis only. Pundits (the learned)go on grinding what has already been ground.
  • The yogi is superior to the ascetics (tapasvi);he is superior to jnanis; he is superior to those who perform action;therefore Arjuna, do you become a yogi.
  • Those people who are well versed in scriptures and philosophy but have not realised the soul are like moving kurchi in the halwa. The kurchi does not know the taste of the halwa even after moving through tons of halwa. Pundits without self-knowledge are no better than the kurchi
  • Books represent the words of scholars (pundits).Agamas are the words of Tirthankaras.The difference between them is like two documents,one written on ordinary paper and the other registered by the State.
  • Just as the numbered lock can be opened only by its numbers so also the words of the wise become clear only when the heart is pure.
  • A man sends his message over a radio but it can be heard only where there is a receiving set.Similarly the sagas send unseen vibrations for the welfare of the people but they are received by those whose souls are pure.
  • Just as the fountain pen includes pen,ink and ink-pot,likewise a few words of the saint carry the essence of religion.
  • The words of the saga are like the saccharin,several times sweeter than sugar.
  • As flame is enveloped by smoke,mirror by dirt and embryo by amnion,so knowledge is enveloped by desire.
  • A washerman receives all sorts of clothes,some dirty,others less dirty. He washes them all. So also the great one cleans the souls of those who come to them.
  • Seek nothing but only a guru and dedicate yourself body and soul at his feet.Even then if you don't get moksha,come and have it from me.(Shrimad Rajachandra)
  • You may fast for months, speak truth,live in forest or on alms and observe sex control.But if you anger, all these are fruitless.
  • Liberation is not in the state of Digambar or Svetambar. Logic and metaphysics do not help the soul.
  • If you wish to obtain clean water from a pond,you will have to take it by a light hand. If the water is stirred, the settled dirt would come up and the whole water would become dirty. Don't waste your time in useless contraversies otherwise several doubts would distrub your mind.
  • It is safe to enjoy the heat of the fire from a distance and not by putting your hand inside it; so also you do your duties but don't be attached to them.
  • You carry provisions even if you have to go from one village to another; but how surprising to proceed without preparation on a journey covering thousands of miles.
  • A pistol aimed towards the enemy but if placed towards yourself will kill you.Similarly, right application of your knowledge will be in your interest,but wrong use will lead you to evil destiny.
  • India is topmost in philosophy. The world is going ahead in materialism,but is lagging far behind in spiritualism.
  • To repent for a wrong is like washing the foot after putting it in mud.
  • If a disciple does any good,one-sixth of its merit goes to the guru.But if he does any wrong, one-sixth of its sin also goes to the guru.
  • The recompense of good and evil follows as the shadow follows the figure.
